Discovery Day Camp campers’ experiences should be as diverse as their growing interests, so we offer a variety of hands-on activities for curious young minds. Our classroom environments are for exploring, creating, discovering, and eye-opening activities for uncovering talents and forging new friendships. Through a mix of art, yoga, nature studies, music, cultural explorations, and cooking, Day Camp is much more than a typical day at camp! Enjoy a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment with a new themed-session each week–allowing campers to enroll in multiple weeks, if not for the entire summer.

We will have a themed group picnic and water day each Friday of camp!

July 29 - August 2
Ages 18 months - 3 years

See your child grow as they joyfully explore the beautiful indoor and outdoor Montessori environments, experiment with a variety of Montessori materials, and interact with the children around them.

DEVELOP your parenting repertoire.
Montessori principles can help you make the most of these exciting, but challenging toddler years. During the camp session our trained Montessori teacher is available to answer any questions and provide guidance to parents. You will also learn Montessori ideas to use at home.

IMMERSE yourseld in the Montessori program.
Montessori & Me is your chance to experience “Montessori in a nutshell.” You and your child will be in a Montessori classroom, experience some of the typical daily activities, and learn from an experienced Montessori teacher.

1st - 2 nd grade

Foundational Fun Camp is for incoming or current 1st and 2nd grade students. This camp provides a great introduction to the foundational elementary program. Campers will spend the week exploring their environment, making new friends, discovering fun activities, and getting a jump start on the new year.

July 22 - 26
1st - 8th Grade

Join Ms. Stacy for Minecraft Camp where students will learn how to design and construct projects throughout camp. Some important concepts include building to scale, mining materials, strategic planning and mapping, developing access points, choosing a palette and materials, designing with shape and form in mind, and much more. Children also use an inventory of blocks and various resources to literally mine and craft projects like famous monuments, train stations, spy hideouts with secret entrances, ancient civilizations, alien colonies, or structures of their own choosing!

July 8 - 12
K - 2nd Grade

The Discovery School’s Spanish Explorer Camp provides campers in grades K - 2 with the opportunity to practice Spanish while having fun! Everyone learns best when they are engaging in meaningful activities, so each day we will place a special emphasis on language learning through a variety of mediums including songs, dancing, arts and crafts, games, and story-telling. Culture is also an important component of the camp, and guides the selection of each day’s songs, crafts, stories and dances.

Join Hollie Stephens and the First Coast Center for the Arts for a fun week of dance!

Campers will use their imaginations and work as a team to create a story of their choosing, in the style of a musical, that will then be transformed into a performance. Arts and crafts will also be used to support the storyline and theme.

Help your child become more focused, confident, and relaxed. Kids yoga improves strength, flexibility, and awareness. Your child will learn how to de-stress and become more mindful while having fun with friends. We do more than pose; we play! At our camp, children will enjoy stretching, music, arts and crafts, games, fun yoga play, and mindfulness teachings based on their theme each week.

Session 1: "Around the World" where we'll explore countries around the world and learn about the people who live in them. Building compassion starts with understanding and embracing our unique experiences. Crafts, activities, and more for this week of discovery will be amazing and will help your child develop a sense of appreciation about various people and their cultures.

Session 2: "Things that Go" We're always on the go-between planes, trains, and boats, we've got modes of transportation for wherever we go. The journey is special and this week will focus on enjoying it with special crafts, activities, and more! Your child will also learn about what's most important when you're a go, go, go person...to stop!

Children will need a mat, water, snack, and comfortable clothing.

Bricks 4 Kidz® camps are a fresh and fun way for kids ages 5-13+ to spend their school break! Guided by our experienced teachers and built around exciting themes like Amusement Parks, Space and Robotics, children will enjoy using LEGO® Bricks to build specially-designed Bricks 4 Kidz models, play LEGO®games and explore the world of engineering, architecture and animated movie-making.

Ages 3 - 6 Years

HappyFeet Soccer is a great way to start teaching your child about healthy habits. We teach Soccer foot-skills which help them with balance, coordination, and agility while also focusing on building their self-confidence through Soccer performance. HappyFeet Classes are non-competitive and therefore a lot of fun.

We use familiar songs, stories, nursery rhymes and fun games to introduce soccer to children as young as two years old. Our unique curriculum triggers your child's imagination by taking their soccer ball, Bob the Bobcat, on adventures to the zoo, the movies, and even an enchanted castle! Our philosophy and curriculum encourages children to tame their bobcat with their learned deceptive dribbling and ball striking skills. We leverage creative play and the important developmental skills it provides to make fitness and soccer their favorite weekly activity!

1st - 4th Grade

Movers & Makers Camp combines movement, music, community, and art. Campers will have fun moving and shaking to international rhythms like hip-hop, reggaeton, and cumbia. After our dance-party cool down, campers will create visual art inspired by dance and music culture from around the world.

Campers should come dressed ready to move and ready to make!

Ages 18 months - 3 years

The Discovery School's Toddler Summer Camp is designed to meet the multi-age needs of incoming and returning toddlers. We are excited to offer your child indoor and outdoor activities in language, science, art, music, math, movement and more! Your child will lead the way as he/she chooses activities based on his/her developmental needs and interests. Our unique environment encourages sensory exploration and curiosity as children gain knowledge through hands-on experiences. This is a great introduction to the Montessori classroom for incoming toddlers

and a great continuing experience for returning toddlers.

*Students must enter the camp during weeks 1, 2, or 3 to participate for the remainder of the summer. Please schedule only consecutive weeks for your child to attend camp - a minimum of 3 weeks is suggested to get the best experience.

1st - 6th Grade

Session 1: Exploring The Natural Landscape Through Art
This session will focus on process-based projects that are inspired by nature. Projects will include various methods of drawing and painting, sometimes with non-traditional materials. We will we use objects found in nature to create prints and make our own brushes to paint the landscape. By creating art that explores the landscape around us we will better understand our place in the environment.

Session 2: Recycled Arts
In this session we will up-cycle found materials to create mixed media collage paintings and three-dimensional works. We will create collage self-portraits and small assemblage sculptures. Thematically, the projects will be linked by an exploration of cycles, reuse, and self-awareness.

Session 3: Famous Artists
This session will explore famous artists from around the globe.We will learn about the history and methods of each artist. Using the processes of our artists, students will create their own interpretations in drawing, painting, and mixed media.

1st - 8th Grade
Mr. Shane’s Sports Camp is for the extreme sports enthusiast. The camp focus will be on developing fundamental and complex skills associated with multiple team sports. These sports include basketball, soccer, street hockey, football, kickball, wiffle ball, capture the flag, dodgeball, and even a beep test to obtain an individualized physical fitness level. Most importantly, students will learn to be part of a team and will develop and build upon their leadership and sportsmanship.

June 3 - 7 & July 29 - August 2
PreK - 2nd Grade

Picture Book Adventures will provide a fun themed overview of popular picture books. Each day of camp will have a different theme including dinosaurs, butterflies, fish, birds, and unicorns. Campers will experience several books being read based on the daily theme, a craft, individual exploration of books, ending with a group discussion, and a game about that day's books.

July 15 - 19
1st - 6th Grade

Junior Chef Campers will be introduced to the world of culinary arts by a licensed personal chef. Learning to cook helps children understand the importance of nutrition and healthy eating. Junior chefs will expand their palates, learn about food safety, and experiment with flavors and ingredients. While learning food preparation, each class involves kitchen safety, etiquette, and meal planning.

Students do not need to bring lunch since they will enjoy the food they prepare each day!

*Fee includes all groceries, chef's apron, and material costs.

K - 6th Grade

With a focus on fitness, the FACE (Fitness and Character Education) program combines hand-eye coordination, physical fitness, public speaking and character education to build self esteem, respect and confidence. This unique summer camp for elementary school children includes outdoor activities on The Discovery School's fields and courts, and agility and coordination training each day.

Each session has a different theme and students earn prizes at the end of each week.

Knight School Summer Chess Camps, conveniently scattered throughout the summer, are the perfect way to spend a thrilling week with other cool, smart kids who love to battle and compete! Activities change constantly in a dizzying flurry of fun that kids find compelling and thrilling. Chess Camp has a fun and friendly spirit and is a great way to keep the brain sharp during the summer while having a real blast!

Chess Camp is a super-fun, high-energy chess experience in which kids ages 5-12 celebrate a new chess tactic each day with silly videos, music-driven puzzlers for prizes, colorful silicone Tactixbands, funny movies, and chess clock tourneys in which the winner gets the loser's Mardi-Gras beads!

Ages 3 - 12 Years

The FALA Spanish program builds a basic knowledge of Spanish through a study of introductory communication skills. Our classes will include lots of fun and meaningful hands on activities, games, art, music, STEM, cooking, reading, writing and immersion experiences through cultural interaction. Conversational skills will be promoted through FALA interactive curriculum.

Classes are taught by native Spanish speaking instructors. Give your child the opportunity to authentically learn a second language and watch them take Spanish to the next level.
